Deborah Gentry Davis is Vice President of Human Resources at Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati. Deborah was appointed to the Senior Leadership Committee of Seminole Hard Rock in February 2022.
In Cincinnati, Deborah leads the HR team in building the organization’s culture, attracting, developing, and retaining talent passionate about hospitality and delivering “Amplified Service”. She is responsible for the planning, design, and execution of HR strategies and programs that promote team member and community engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and align with the company’s Mission, Mottos and Values. Her favorite Motto is “Take time to be kind” and everyone who knows Deborah, knows that.
Deborah serves as the executive sponsor for the TMGR V.I.B.E. and is active leading the WIL program in Cincinnati. She is responsible for team member and labor relations and has successfully negotiated two multi-union collective bargaining agreements. With her ten years in gaming, Deborah led the Cincinnati organization through two major transitions from Horseshoe Casino, through JACK Casino to Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati.
Prior to entering gaming and hospitality, Deborah had experience leading global HR teams in technology at SDRC, manufacturing at Cognis and BASF, retail, transportation, and consulting across the US. A native of Indianapolis, IN, Deborah earned a BS in Business from the University of Baltimore and did graduate studies at Xavier University.
Deborah is active in the community and has served on the Board of Directors for the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati, the American Red Cross and the United Way. She was honored in the group of “100 Community Heroes” by the United Way in 2015. In 2020, Deborah was recognized as a YWCA Career Woman of Achievement and in the same year as a “Wise Woman” by ‘100 Wise Women’. She serves as Board Secretary at Kemba Credit Union and is an active member of The Queen City (OH) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated and The Moles. Deborah is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She and her husband, James reside in Madeira, OH, have two adult Children and two miniature Schnauzers.
Deborah loves most music and especially enjoys R&B, country and 80’s rock and roll. She believes the best music was written in the 80’s. Some of her favorite artists include Elton John, Stevie Wonder and Kenny Loggins. Her best concert memories are of Dolly Parton, Elton John and Kenny Loggins (front row center).
